Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter - Our Favourite Holiday Seasons.

Over the year there's so much to look forward too (apart from kids' birthdays which are a celebration of its own). These are our favourite parts of the year:
Spring
Easter - Wielkanoc
Summer
Autumn
In the autumn, we
love to wrap up warm and go on long walks,
swishing through the fallen leaves and hunt for conkers. We then make
little people out of them. We love to collect different coloured leaves and making them into a
collage. Acers are my particular favourites, with their colour changing
crimson leaves, brightening the otherwise grey days.
Halloween
marks the end of October. And then it's:All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day
Wszystkich Świętych i Zaduszki
All Saints' Day is on November 1st. All Souls' Day,
is on November 2nd. Traditionally in
Poland we visit the cementaries, where our loved ones are laid to rest
and we light up the special candles - znicze - in their memories. An
eternal light, being the symbol of Jesus, gives us hope and guidance. And, if you go
in the evening when it's dark, you'll get the most amazing sea of
flickering lights, enabling you to reflect on the past and focus on the
future, i.e. make the most of your life as it's so short!
Winter
24th December - Christmas Eve - Wigilia
