Are you superstitious?
|
I don't think that I am superstitious person, but I think that it is great fun, as long as someone does not get involved too much. I always found people who are afraid of crossing the screen where a black cat previously crossed a bit funny. For me, this is just silly. I believe in destiny, and it has nothing to do with the bad or good luck. If you are destined to win the lottery, you will, no matter if you play one lucky dip once or same numbers for 20 years. When something goes wrong it doesn't mean that it's because it's Friday 13th, but that God wanted the things to happen that way or you are just a milksop. People are superstitious because they don't want to admin they aren't perfect. They always want to blame someone else. And what happens when there is no one to blame for things going wrong? Then people say "oh, it's because I broke the mirror this morning or "I walked under the ladder today". "That's the cause of my problems". I think this is silly and plaintive and I am glad I am not superstitious person and I'm not going to become one of those people. Fingers crossed. P.S. However I do admit that I have one quirky pet hate - I cannot stand open drawers or cupboards - I feel immediately anxious and agitated if I see one - and I need to have them closed immediately - I feel that some good house spirits will "escape" if they remain opened |
